Lower Sixth Form Project 2007/8
Things have got off to a positive and energetic start in the Adam Clark Memorial Garden after the Christmas break and we have already got stuck into our new project - the Kitchen Garden. Our first jobs have involved clearing the ground of bits of wood and fencing ready for a patio to be laid. A fence has been constructed around the kitchen garden to keep the hens in, it became quite a hilarity trying to stop them escaping whenever we opened the gate! We began digging out a long chunk of earth ready for building a wall and my job was to wheelbarrow the earth away and tip it into a pile elsewhere - although it was quite a job dodging the hens who loved the fresh mud! Everybody has great visions for the kitchen garden project and we can't wait for it to start taking shape!
